Earth Day 2013 is right around the corner. Are you planning on incorporating the annual event in your classroom?
There are many different learning opportunities on Earth Day, whether it's science-based investigations or researching the environment. To help, we've compiled a list of resources that teachers can use to bring Earth Day to students. The first is a great American Experience Documentary from PBS, which examining our country's eco-activism past, and we've also highlighted great Earth Day lesson plans, recommended reading lists, and ideas for classroom activities.

Pijanowski and his team created mobile phone applications designed to capture soundscapes and store them in a database for research, as well as preserving natural sounds for future generations to come. The project is designed to capture up to 1 million sound recordings from all over the planet.
