Where do you go on the web if you want to see great data visualizations? With a few exceptions, like Reddit's Data Is Beautiful subforum, there is no one-stop destination for quality data viz on the web.

But Dadaviz aims to change all of that. Aiming to be a portal for the best visualization content on the web, it also want to teach big advertisers to harness the power of data to sell their brands...

De la mano de un puñado de pioneros, Youtube está empezando a llenar ese hueco, sobre todo en el contexto anglosajón, donde la tendencia del e-learning está más consolidada. De hecho, en Silicon Valley se ha convertido en uno de los sectores preferidos por los inversores; e incluso Steve Jobs señaló esta tendencia de la tecnología como una de las que todavía permanecían sin explotar en este siglo. En cuanto a los youtubers-profesores en idioma español, salvo ejemplos contados en Latinoamérica, como el colombiano Julioprofe, el terreno está libre. Ahora, un madrileño lo está ocupando.

C4LPT (Centre for Learning & Performance Technologies) ha compartido una nueva edición de los resultados arrojados por su encuesta anual sobre las 100 mejores herramientas para el Aprendizaje.

Una lista que tiene en cuenta tanto aquellas herramientas que contribuyen al desarrollo y formación del docente como las que influyen directamente en la forma de impartir la enseñanza. Esta iniciativa liderada por Jane Hart puede ser una guía interesante a tener en cuenta para implementar nuevos recursos  y herramientas educativas. Dando un recorrido por los primeros puestos.

For many people in today’s world, being “online” has become a constant status. High-speed internet, smart phones and tablet PC’s have enabled us to stay connected whenever and wherever we are.

Social hackers capitalize on vulnerabilities when it comes to keeping personal details private, and the problem has only seemed to get worse as the digital age has developed.

Techniques as simple as looking over a shoulder as someone enters bank details or passwords are often used, as well as sending out deceiving emails ridden with malware and viruses that can take control of your computer. Hackers pose as a trusted entity in email blasts that utilize mind tricks to get the viewer to click on the link that will trigger the infection of your computer.

Everyone with an internet connection is vulnerable, and public awareness is the first step in ending this growing problem...
