Head to Kemi for a Vacation Filled with Reindeer Soup and Survival Suits | Human Interest | Scoop.it

Does your ideal vacation involve sub-zero temperatures, survival suits, cream of smoked reindeer soup, and being able to see your breath in your hotel room? Then meet your dream destination: Kemi, Finland.

Located on the Bothnian Bay in the Lapland region, Kemi is home to around 23,000 people. Every winter, visitors flock to the town to experience its two star attractions: the Sampo, a 250-foot icebreaking ship, and LumiLinna, a castle built out of snow.

In Finland, there are two attractions that are causing over 23,000 people to flock to Bothnian Bay. The Sampo, a 250 ft icebreaking ship is used to get tourists out onto the ice. Than, they are allowed to take a plunge in the water in survival suits. I wonder how much this trip costs?

In Finland, a woman has domesticated a reindeer named Aatu. Aatu was adopted when he was abandoned in the wilderness by his mother. Aatu is very friendly with his owner and loves to eat moss. my question is how long do these reindeers live for?
