Today's History Lesson...ice cream cone

An abundance of celebrations occur throughout the year that center around ice cream, different flavors, sandwiches, sundaes, floats, sodas, splits, soft serve, cakes, pies, single, double, triple or just about anyway you like it. Therefore, it's not surprising to discover a delicate partner of this delicious cold treat being invented to ward off the heat on this day in history. Continuing with the month of July being Ice Cream Month, it would do ice cream an injustice to not include a bit of trivia about the ice cream cone.

Back in the days of the wild west, no Fed Ex was available, no Postal Service ran that far west, no planes, and delivery by ship was likely to take months if it ever got there at all.
