Vodafone warns that a ban on Huawei equipment would set back the rollout of super-fast 5G networks.

Cost/benefit, risk/reward - common trade-off in Economics. And here's an interesting one, with Vodafone being frank is warning that any ban on using Huawei equipment is going to delay the roll out of 5g technology, to the detriment of the UK's supply-side and hence productivity.
Pick the bones out of that!

Macro- or microeconomic?
I've gone for the former. Will the roll out of 5G technology significantly enhance productivity - or are there diminishing marginal returns to these telecoms advances? And will it be the US way, or the Huawei?
