Chief executive of newly formed carmaker warns future of UK production depends on government

It seems that the future of Vauxhall in the UK is in doubt as a result of the government's decision to ban the sale of new petrol and diesel cars from 2030. That and Brexit, perhaps.

 

Either way, the brand's owner, Stellantis - the name adopted by the company formed out of Fiat Chrysler and Peugeot - are certainly considering the move. And this would trigger a significant negative regional multiplier around Ellesmere Port.
