A drill down into the effects of austerity on local government: more potholes, fewer libraries and swimming pools, but presumably higher wages being paid to a greater number of administrators looking after ever-smaller budgets? 

And some local councils, notably Great Yarmouth, have seen 50% cuts in their budgets in that time period. Say what you like, but you aren't recouping that money through efficiency savings.
