In fact, it may be wise to collect a few titles that cover the basics of Instructional Design, such as titles that delve into Instructional Design models and theories, as well as basic e-Learning terms and psychology, particularly those that cover learning behaviors and cognitive processes.

3. Planner/Agenda.

having your own printed agenda on-hand gives you the opportunity to keep track of your personal assignments and due dates without having to hop online or use your mobile device. Some people actually prefer planners because it allows them to quickly jot down important dates or reminders. To get the most out of your printed planner or agenda you should opt for one that offers the ideal layout and features.

4. Face-to-face networks. 

Social networks are big these days, but face-to-face networks are still a valuable asset that you should utilize on a regular basis. In-person networking injects a more personal and human element into your conversations. It may not be possible to do this for every meeting or conversation, but you should seize the opportunity whenever you get the chance.

5. Instructional Design Models. 

This may not be a tangible tool, per se, but Instructional Design models, theories, and principles can offer real value when you are creating eLearning courses. They give you a better understanding of how the mind works, how online learners absorb and retain knowledge, and how you can deliver information more effectively.
