The entrance to GitHub is the most Instagram-able lobby in tech. It's a recreation of the Oval Office, and the mimicry is spot-on---except for the rug. Instead of the arrow-clutching American eagle that graces Obama's office rug, it shows the code-sharing site's Octocat mascot gazing into the digital future, just above the motto: "In Collaboration We Trust."

I really enjoyed this article on "do's" and "don'ts" for empowering students in digital literacy techniques. I think we forget - this is where our students shine. The article points out that today's undergraduates have NEVER known life without the internet. How do we use that to help our students learn more?

Digital Literacy is becoming more important in learning. The curriculum today requires teachers to use digital tools. Please read this interesting take on digital literacies. |
Actually, I find Wikipedia to be an excellent starting point for learning about something. When I come across an interesting wiki post, one of the first places I go to is the references section.
